Introduction
The James Ford Bell Library at the University of Minnesota has recently acquired a copy of the 1602 map of the world by Matteo Ricci. Ann Waltner will discuss the map and its production, calling attention to some particular characteristics of this exemplar of the map. The talk will be accompanied by visual representations of the map.
